The ROC Party has
arranged to advertise for potential candidates for the September 11 by-elections in
Okanagan - Coquihalla in British Columbia and Kings - Hants in Nova Scotia.
The ads will run in the Penticton
Herald, the Advertiser (Kentville NS) and Hants Journal (Windsor NS) on August 14, 15 and
16.
The ROC Party Concept
represents Canadians for unity and National Reform and advocates a "Swiss style"
decentralized Federal Government that would accommodate the aspiration of Quebec and the
rest of Canada within strong united and prosperous Canada.
The main purpose in participating in
these by-elections is to pressure the Alliance to consider the ROC Concept
as the vision for this great country. Although the initial rhetoric of Stockwell Day was
positive, the ROC Party fears that the Alliance will "Back off"
as the previous reform party has done on important issues such as pensions, the GST, etc.
To sustain pressure on the Alliance
Party to stay "on course", the ROC Party has to make a strong
showing in the two September 11 by-elections.
